# What fields does video semantic search need?

Titles, descriptions, subtitles or transcripts, tags, and thumbnail URLs, plus plays and engagement metrics as ranking weights — enough to embed, index, and serve semantic search and video question answering; not for visual embeddings or frame-level labels. Thordata's [video datasets](https://www.thordata.com/?ls=community\&lk=proxyip) ship these fields in JSON/CSV/Parquet.
