# Can I specify a country, city, or carrier?

Country-level selection is supported. ASN- or carrier-level targeting is not available, and subnet lists are not provided. IPs are assigned at random after purchase and cannot be filtered by quality score.

When configuring, select the country only — do not add a state or city. Overly narrow filters leave too few available IPs, which can return a 502 (Resource\_203) or an SSL error; removing the parameter resolves it.
