# Can a web unlocker handle ad verification?

On the web side, yes. The unlocker retrieves ad landing pages and the content actually rendered, so you can compare creative against the destination — suited to ad verification and localization checks. It is not a fit for in-app ads that need a real mobile device environment, nor for tasks that must pin a specific city exit; use [mobile or residential proxies](https://www.thordata.com/?ls=community\&lk=proxyip) for those.
