# Protocols

**HTTP**

Our tutorial documentation contains code examples showing how to connect to a proxy using the HTTP protocol, including common libraries and third-party software that also supports this protocol.

**HTTPS**

You can also increase security with the `HTTPS` protocol, which provides a fully encrypted connection. Therefore, you must add `https://` to your proxy entry port. For example: `https://t.pr.thordata.net:9999`.

{% hint style="info" %}
Please note that before modifying your code to use the `HTTPS` protocol, always check as some libraries (especially their older versions) as well as some third-party tools may not support the `HTTPS` protocol
{% endhint %}
