Protocols

HTTP

Our tutorial documentation contains code examples showing how to connect to a proxy using the HTTP protocol, including common libraries and third-party software that also supports this protocol.

HTTPS

You can also increase security with the HTTPS protocol, which provides a fully encrypted connection. Therefore, you must add https:// to your proxy entry port. For example: https://t.pr.thordata.net:12233.

Please note that before modifying your code to use the HTTPS protocol, always check as some libraries (especially their older versions) as well as some third-party tools may not support the HTTPS protocol

Socks5

If you want to use the Socks5 protocol, you need to add socks5h to your request, for example:

curl -x socks5h://t.pr.thordata.net:12233 -U "user-USERNAME:PASSWORD" ipinfo.thordata.com

The Socks5 protocol allows you to target specific locations by adding additional parameters, here is an example using a US IP:

curl -x socks5h://t.pr.thordata.net:12233 -U "user-USERNAME-region-US:PASSWORD" ipinfo.thordata.com
