# 2. The results of other detection channels you are using are not the same as the country extracted

**Scenarios often encountered in actual use:** When users utilize our IPs, they regularly conduct self-checks via third-party platforms to assess IP quality. Key evaluation points include geographic accuracy, fraud score, and whether the IP originates from an IDC datacenter. Geolocation accuracy remains their primary concern. Given the highly varied reliability of third-party detection services, discrepancies frequently arise between our officially verified IP locations and results from users’ preferred platforms. This inconsistency fuels concerns about IP quality and undermines confidence in our service.

If you use a third-party IP detection channel to detect that the physical location of the IP address is inconsistent with the IP address extracted by thordata, it may be caused by the inconsistency of the IP geolocation database referenced by different detection channels. According to the world's most authoritative IP geolocation database, we have combined the BGP library, the commercial Whois databases and some other mainstream detection platforms to detect, and finally determined that the geographic location detection results that should be preferentially followed by

* **ipinfo** **(**[**https://ipinfo.io/**](https://ipinfo.io/)**)**
* **ping0.cc (**[**https://ping0.cc/**](https://ping0.cc/)**)**
* **iping.cc (**[**https://www.iping.cc/**](https://www.iping.cc/)**)**
* **IP2location** **(**[**https://lite.ip2location.com**](https://lite.ip2location.com)**)**
* **Maxmind** **(**[**https://www.maxmind.com**](https://www.maxmind.com)**)**
* **DB-IP (**[**https://db-ip.com**](https://db-ip.com)**)**

If the user's third-party detection results are inconsistent with the detection results of the above mainstream databases, the detection results of the above databases should be followed preferentially instead of the third-party detection results, if there are internal detection differences in ipinfo, ping0.cc, IP2location, Maxmind, and DB-IP. After cross-comparison, follow the database with more unified detection results, if the results are inconsistent with the countries extracted by thordata, you can find a business person to change the IP.
